Java Se 6 Runtime Download Mac Mountain Lion
I just purchased an iMac running on Mac OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion.
Macos - high - legacy java se 6 runtime mac sierra. Jdk 6 on mountain lion (4). You can download the Java package for OS 10.6 then open it using Pacifist, then copy the files over. (Copying the files from the package for 10.7 did NOT work for me - apparently it installs Java 7, or at least it leaves Java 7 as the default version with no. As I recall, the first time you do something that needs Java the OS will ask if you want to install it, and version 6 is what you get. According to this page, typing java -version in the Terminal is enough to trigger the prompt. For the JDK (and not the runtime), you'll need to log into developer.apple.com, search for java, and download the Java for OS X 2012-006 Developer Package.
My attempt at installing both AC14 and AC16 came to the same prompt: -
'To open 'ArchiCAD Installer', you need a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to install one now?'.I clicked on 'Install', and the system started searching for the software and seemed like it was going to install. Midway, it stopped and the prompt read: -
'The update 'Java for OS X 2012-006' can't be installed. The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs'.
I tried many times, but it just won't install. Has anyone else experienced this and know how to get about it? Please help! Much appreciated.

Legacy Java Se 6 Runtime For Mac
Apple updated Java for OS X Snow Leopard, Lion, and Mountain Lion on Tuesday. The releases adds compatibility for Java SE 6 version 1.6.0_65.
The patch notes are unspecific, saying:
This release updates the Apple-provided system Java SE 6 to version 1.6.0_65 and is for OS X versions 10.7 or later.
This update uninstalls the Apple-provided Java applet plug-in from all web browsers. To use applets on a web page, click on the region labeled 'Missing plug-in' to go download the latest version of the Java applet plug-in from Oracle.
Java Se 6 For Mac
The updates come in two flavors:
- Java for OS X 2013-005 - (for Lion and Mountain Lion)
- Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 17 (that link, direct from Apple's Downloads site, currently resolves to Update 16)
On my Mountain Lion machine, Java for OS X 2013-005 is showing up in the MAS as a 66.7MB download.
