A Spooky Adventure

The level of spookiness achieved in The Curse of Blackmoor Manor is truly commendable. With each creaking door entered you will feel the eerie history of this aged mansion thanks to the wonderful sound effects and background music.

Good Dialogue That is Essential to the Game

Voice acting is also very well done, including charming British accents and realistic dialogue. Many dialogue options, as well as actions, are interdependent on one another which means that some features will not be unlocked until other actions are performed, such as talking to daughter Jane in order to receive an important call. The upside is this produces a longer and more difficult game overall. The downside is at times it can be difficult to know who to talk to or where to look to unlock necessary information which slows the game down immensely and can easily lead to boredom.
